Custom Embroidery
|
Custom embroidery starts from a picture (usually in a .jpg, or .eps
format) which is digitized (converted) into a file in which the embroidery
machine can read. This is not a simple task, it is an art that requires great skill
and is time consuming and therefore a charge for digitizing would apply. The
digitizing cost is based on the stitch count and complexity of the design. The
machine needs to be set-up, including loading all of the right color
threads and even sometimes ordering custom color threads. The file is then loaded into the embroidery machine and a sample sew out is
made to assure the design was digitized perfectly. Sample sew outs are included in the price of the custom digitizing fee and approval is required to start production. The next step in the process is hooping the garments and running production.
Secondary operations such as trimming excess threads and backing is always
required. During this process all garments are
inspected 100% prior to being shipped.
[Services such as steaming, folding and placement
into bags are available.]

Screen Printing
|
Screen Printing also starts from a picture (usually
a .jpg, .tiff or .eps format) and may require some artwork clean-up before a
screen can be fabricated and the design can be used. There is an artwork fee of
$45.00/hour for this service if needed. Camera ready artwork has a $30.00 screen
and film charge for one or two or three screen jobs, and the price drops to
$25.00/Screen when you have 4 screens in one job. There are also special charges for screen
printing on pockets, sleeves, or leg prints as these options usually require more
set-up.
